On Sunday, the spusu Vienna Capitals and the HC TIWAG Innsbruck – Die Haie will return to the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League, with both having a home game, as the Viennese host the Dornbirn Bulldogs in Phil Lakos 800th game for the “Caps”, which wear unique "Wien BLEIBT STARK" jerseys in commemoration of all the victims of the terror attack in downtown Vienna, while the Tyrolese play EC-KAC live on PULS24. Further, leader Moser Medical Graz99ers travels to Székesfehérvár and the EC GRAND Immo VSV stops by at iClinic Bratislava Capitals.

  • After almost a 1-month break the HC TIWAG Innsbruck “Die Haie” return to the ICE, facing EC-KAC as in the last game before the break.
  • Meanwhile, the “Rotjacken” played twice at home, grabbing one point against DEC and cruising past AVS 5:0.
  • KAC won the hard fought first season encounter 2:1.
  • Both teams struggle on the powerplay: KAC (15,6% | #9) resp. HCI (10,3% | #10). Further, HCI is the weakest team on PK with 65,8%.
  • After Thursday’s shutout, KAC netminder Sebastian Dahm leads the save-percentage (95,1%) and the GAA (1,44) league charts.
  • They faced each other 110 times with 65 victories for KAC. But the “sharks” won 32 out of 54 home-games against the Carinthians.

  • Leader Moser Medical Graz99ers travels to fourth-ranked Hydro Fehérvár AV19, with a six-game winning streak available, while AVS suffered a 0:5 defeat Thursday night at Klagenfurt, grabbing no points for the first time since October 2nd.
  • With the Hungarian side having only 14 skaters on the roster, they lost the first season meeting 4:6.
  • G99 heads into their 499th regular season road game since summer 2000, while AVS played 346 regular season home-games.
  • G99 won 39 out of 72 duels with AVS.
  • AVS won six out of the past eight home-games against G99, taking 19 out possible 24 points.
  • Daniel Oberkofler, Lukas Kainz, Joel Broda and Ben Bowns will not play for G99 Sunday night.

  • After 28 days the spusu Vienna Capitals return to the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League, hosting Dornbirn Bulldogs, as the Vorarlberg side is on the second road-trip within six days. Playing Saturday night at Linz.
  • VIC won the past three games ahead of the break with a goal difference 14:2, including a shutout victory at DEC (4:0).
  • VIC won the past nine consecutive games against DEC, 24 out of 35 overall.
  • DEC, which grabbed at least one point in each of the past four road games, for the last time won in Vienna December 10th, 2017 (3:2 OT).
  • To commemorate the victims of the Vienna terror attacks of November 2, 2020, spusu Vienna Capitals is wearing unique "Wien BLEIBT STARK!" jerseys. These game worn jerseys will be signed by the player after the game and raffled off. The proceeds go to the relatives of a terror victim.
  • Phil Lakos is about to play his 800th league game for the Caps (gameday decision).
  • DEC Defender Olivier Magnan is playing his ninth season with the Bulldogs and currently holds at 99 assists and 499 penalty minutes. Stefan Häußle has also been a permanent member of the Bulldogs since the league entry in 2012/13. Häußle will play his 400th ICE game against Vienna.
  • DEC is struggling on powerplay: The Vorarlberg side made only one goal out of 30 outnumbered situations. VIC scores in almost every fourth PP (22.6%).

  • While the Austrian side Wednesday night ended up their losing streak with a shootout win against DEC, league’s newcomer suffered two defeats past days.
  • VSV (8 games) is bottom-placed and had to take 35 goals against, while BRC (7 games) sits on eighth place with 27 goals against overall.
  • BRC heads into his third home-game.
  • Since October, 2017 the VSV has lost every game after a shootout-win.
  • Both teams struggle shorthanded: BRC (74,3% | #9) resp. VSV (73,1% | #10)
