The visitors from Bregenzerwald got off to the better start at the Eisarena Salzburg, taking the lead just 86 seconds into the game through Toivo Laaksonen. However, the home side responded quickly: Maxim Eliseev tied the game on the power play and put the Juniors ahead with his second goal later in the opening period.

From there, Salzburg took control of the game, extending their lead in the middle frame with goals from Florian Lanzinger and Mathias Böhm to make it 4:1. In the third period, Nick Maul added the final goal to seal a 5:1 victory for the Juniors.

It was Salzburg’s fifth win of the season – and their second consecutive victory. While the Juniors remain right behind Sisak in the standings, EC Bregenzerwald dropped to 12th place with nine points following their fourth defeat of the season.
