EK Die Zeller Eisbären prolonged their successful start to the comeback-season and celebrated their fourth win in a row with a 5-4 home victory over SHC Fassa Falcons. This lifted the league returnee to fourth place in standings. The "Falcons" had to admit defeat in a high-scoring game for the second time in a row and continue to hold on to just one win on the season. The "Eisbären" showed up big especially in the first eleven minutes of the second period: With four goals, they dominated this phase and thus laid the foundation for their success. Philip Putnik scored three points (2G|1A).

Jesenice cruised past Vienna
With a clear 10-2 road win, league leader HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice gave the Vienna Capitals Silver no chance. The Slovenians confirmed their top position in the Alps Hockey League with their fifth win, while the Austrians remain league’s lone team without a point. With ten goals, Jesenice set the current goal record in the 21/22 season. For the guests, their first line dominated: center Jesperi Viikila scored the hat trick and collected five points (3G|2A), Erik Svetina (2G|3A) and Eric Pance (1G|4A) also showed a five-point game.

Ritten remains unbeaten on the road
The Rittner Buam have prolonged their strong start to the season and after the 6:1 win at BEMER VEU Feldkirch they left the ice as winners in their third road game too. It was the fifth win of the season for the South Tyroleans, which are in third place, and the tenth in the AHL against the Vorarlberg side, which remain in second-last place with just two points from four games. In front of 600 spectators, Ritten managed to be much more efficient offensively, was ahead 3-0 at half-time thanks to two goals from MacGregor Sharp and one by Stefan Quinz. The visitors responded to the interim 1:3 by Dylan Stanley (4./PP1) with three goals in the last three minutes.

Giliati hits game winner for second-ranked Asiago
Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey stayed on the heels of leader Jesenice and remains in second place after a narrow 2-1 home win over EC-KAC Future Team. The Italians prolonged their winning streak against the Austrians, remained victorious in the eleventh duel with Klagenfurt. The young "Rotjacken", lost for the fourth time in a row and are in tenth place in the table. It was mainly thanks to goalie Val Usnik that Klagenfurt ended up with a close-game defeat. He recorded a save percentage of 94.6% and was only beaten by a powerplay goal by Anthony Salinitri - which was equalized by Rok Kapel - and the game-winner by Stefano Giliati.

Meran turns it in the second
HC Merano/o Pircher celebrated its second win in a row. The AHL newcomer defeated HC Gherdeina valgardena.it 4:3 - all seven goals were scored in an eventful second period. Meran took the lead just 51 seconds after the restart before the home team, recently wining two in a row, scored three goals by the 35th minute and almost had the game under control. But Meran struck back three times within three minutes: Patrick Tomasini laced the brace, Oskar Ahlstrüm equalized and Christian Borgatello decided the game in Meran's favor with a goal two man up. With this victory, Merano also takes the lead in the Italian Serie A standings.
