In the Alps Hockey League, defending champions Rittner Buam SkyAlps are 0:2 down in their semi-final series against SIJ Acroni Jesenice. The Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan were also unable to secure a win in their first two games against EK Die Zeller Eisbären. Rittner Buam SkyAlps - SIJ Acroni Jesenice
Defending champions Ritten are already under considerable pressure in the semi-final against the 2023 AHL champions Jesenice. The South Tyroleans were beaten by just one goal difference in each of their first two games (1:2/OT, 2:3). The opening defeat in front of their home crowd was also their first home defeat against Jesenice after five consecutive victories. Ritten's current home form is mixed, with two wins from five play-off games so far, while Jesenice won two of their three away play-off games so far.

EK Die Zeller Eisbären - Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan
The second South Tyrolean team, Sterzing, is also trailing 0:2. The Broncos were also narrowly beaten twice by Zell am See (1:3, 2:4), with the final decision scored with an empty-net goal in each case. Master Round champion Zell am See are still unbeaten in the current playoffs and have only lost one of their last 19 games - a home defeat against Cortina on March 1. Sterzing, on the other hand, are actually in good form away from home. Although they were beaten in the series opener, they had previously celebrated five away wins in a row. However, the Broncos are still waiting for their first win against Zell am See this season. But captain Paul Eisendle remains confident, as he told us in an interview - to the interview.
