The Rittner Buam celebrated a 2:1 win against S.G. Cortina Hafro in Sunday’s only game. With the third win of the season the Buam are on the 9th place in standings.

In the only game scheduled on Sunday, the Rittner Buam found their first victory on the road in the Alps Hockey League after beating Sportivi Ghiaccio Cortina Hafro for 2: 1. The first period was intense and shortly after the middle the home team took the lead with Francesco Adami. Then at the final whistle of the first period, Devin Di Diomete was punished with a double minor. Precisely the penalties will be very important during the second half. The Ritten didn’t play well in the beginning. But in the middle of the game Andreas Lutz equalized with a shot from the blue line (in double powerplay). Shortly thereafter there was another important fact: Nick Brunetau, defender of the Cortina, was expelled for spearing. After a 4 on 4, the formation of Klobstein returned in powerplay: Johan Eriksson scored a nice goal. During the third period the Cortina could have its opportunities in powerplay but they didn’t have the clarity to score. Alex Frei also hit the post. The score didn’t change until the last whistle.
