The Rittner Buam SkyAlps have recently won six games in a row in the Alps Hockey League. This gives the South Tyroleans the longest current streak. Only the reigning champions, SIJ Acroni Jesenice, have had a longer streak in the league this season - seven wins in a row. But on Thursday, Ritten will face SHC Fassa Falcons, who have also impressed with three wins recently. Steel Wings LINZ AG have also been victorious in their last three games and are looking to continue this run in the Austrian duel against Red Bull Hockey Juniors. A total of seven games are on the program on Thursday, followed by a single game on Friday.

In the duel between EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel and EC Bregenzerwald, two table neighbors meet. The team from Vorarlberg currently has a three-point lead over the Eagles. The Tigers have built this lead in part thanks to their success in the first head-to-head meeting between these two teams, which Bregenzerwald narrowly won 3:2 after trailing 0:2. Kitzbühel were also recently beaten 3-1 by Gherdeina, who are bottom of the table. Bregenzerwald, on the other hand, celebrated a 7:4 victory over HK Celje a few days ago, proving their comeback qualities in the process.
