In the duel between EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel and EC Bregenzerwald, two table neighbors meet. The team from Vorarlberg currently has a three-point lead over the Eagles. After the Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan narrowly lost the duel for the top of the table a week ago, they suffered a surprising defeat against the Steel Wings Linz a little later. The Upper Austrians are now on a three-game winning streak and have thus made it into the top 10 of the Alps Hockey League. Even better placed are the Red Bull Hockey Juniors, who have won a total of four of their last five games and have now climbed to sixth place in the table. The Hockey Juniors won the first duel of the season between these two teams 2:1 after overtime.

SHC Fassa Falcons are also currently on a three-game winning streak, which has seen them climb to 13th place in the table. In two of the last three encounters, the Falcons went into overtime or a penalty shootout. Most recently, they even managed to defeat the reigning champions SIJ Acroni Jesenice. Ritten won the first season duel between these two teams 4:1.

The Hockey Unterland Cavaliers are now back on a negative series. After three wins in a row, they have now suffered three defeats in a row. They have now dropped to ninth place in the table. HC Gherdeina, on the other hand, have got off to a better start in recent weeks. After a false start to the season, Gherdeina have now won three of their last four games, but are still in second-last place in the table. The Cavaliers won the first clash between these two teams this season 8:4. Seven goals were scored in the final period alone.

Jesenice have won at least one of their two games and are still lurking in third place in the table. The Slovenians also struggled before the break and lost their last two games. In the first meeting of the season between these two teams, however, the reigning champions came out on top with a commanding 6:3 victory.
