Innsbruck wins after penalty shootout
Both teams had to accept defeats 24 hours earlier. Nevertheless Hydro Fehérvár AV19 and HC TIWAG Innsbruck put up a tough fight. The Innsbruckers had a much better start, leading 4:1 in the second period. But the Hungarians fought their way back into the match and finally forced an overtime. After a goalless overtime Max Gerlach made the decision in the penalty shootout. Thus the Sharks took revenge for a narrow 3:4 defeat in their first clash.

Petersen-Hattrick brings KAC victory over Linz
After two defeats in a row the EC-KAC is back on the road of success. The KAC defeated the Steinbach Black Wings 1992 with 4:0. Especially Nick Petersen could not be stopped by the Linz team that evening - he scored the first three goals. KAC-Goalie Sebastian Dahm celebrated his second shutout victory this season. The Black Wings 1992 cannot gain any advantage at home this season. After nine games on home ice the return is only six of 27 possible points. The Klagenfurt team won against the Linz team for the first time in the past seven duels. After the three defeats in the quarter finals last season, the EC-KAC also lost at the start of the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League.

Salzburg turns game in Graz
The Moser Medical Graz99ers narrowly missed the compensation for the 2:10 defeat last Sunday. For a long time of the game it looked very good for the Styrians. At the end of the second period the hosts were already leading 3:1, but the Salzburgers acted with determination in the final period. Thomas Raffl brought his team into overtime just 80 seconds before the supposed end. After a goalless extra time Rick Schofield made the decision in the penalty shootout. While the Graz team lost its fourth game in a row, Salzburg extended its winning streak to four games.
