Short text 522 CharactersPlain text

Hydro Fehérvár AV19 has failed to win eleven games in a row - including seven playoff games - against EC Red Bull Salzburg across the seasons. Although the team of head coach Kevin Constantine is currently plagued by numerous injury worries, the Hungarians keep all games open until the final minutes. In the overtime loss in the third quarterfinal game, the game had to be finished with only four defensemen. Although the Hungarians are already playing against the season out on Tuesday, the head coach is still positive.

In addition to the injured players Bálint Magosi, Bence Stipsicz, Roland Vokla and Márkó Csollák, Hydro Fehérvár AV19 caught a wave of flu at the worst possible time. Csanád Erdély and Németh Kristóf missed the third quarterfinal game against EC Red Bull Salzburg for this reason. They could be back in the game on Tuesday, in the first game against the season out.

Although the Hungarians have to play decimated in the quarterfinal series, they keep up strongly with the reigning champions in the individual games. The Hungarians had to admit defeat in the three games against EC Red Bull Salzburg so far, but the difference in all duels was only one goal. The series is strongly reminiscent of last season's final series, when they also failed to win any of the games, but were always within striking distance until the closing minutes.

Despite the supposedly difficult situation, however, head coach Kevin Constantine is positive: "The series isn't over obviously but I'm just really happy and proud of the way our guys fight. We've had more injuries. We've had flu go through our entire team. Our lineup is different every single night. We can't find 6 defensemen that are healthy enough to play. And yet our guys give everything they have every game, every every period, and that's why I'm just really happy with our guys. I just feel bad for them because they deserve to get a win based on effort to tell them they've done a great job because they have. I'm also proud of the effort our guys are putting in to compete in this series. We still have a chance. We just have to win four games and the next game is at home.
