The Sabres St. Pölten celebrated a 3–0 road victory over Tauron Metropolia Silesia on Saturday, solidifying their hold on second place in the European Women’s Hockey League. The two teams will meet again on Sunday in Katowice. Meanwhile, HK PSRZ Bratislava edged the Lakers Kärnten in a shootout.

During an even first period, the Lower Austrians took the lead just before the break with a power‑play goal from Jaime Magoffin. The narrow advantage held until the 44th minute, when Katharina Killius doubled the lead. In the closing stages, the Sabres sealed the 3–0 win to underline their strong position in the standings. Goaltender Selma Luggin recorded a 28‑save shutout. The two teams will face each other again in Katowice on Sunday.

HK PSRZ Bratislava looked on course for a clear win against the Lakers Kärnten for a long stretch. The Slovak side opened the scoring in the first period and extended the lead to 2–0 in the middle frame through Hana Krakorova. In a penalty‑filled contest, the Carinthians cut the deficit with a power‑play goal in the 52nd minute, and Maggie Peterson tied the game with just 19 seconds remaining in regulation. The shootout ultimately decided the outcome, with Bratislava claiming the extra point.
