In the third meeting of the season, it was already the Sabres’ third win against one of the two top teams in the league, who had also faced each other in last season’s final. Back then, the Sabres prevailed 5–2.

This time, Charlotte Wittich gave the visitors the lead in the ninth minute before the hosts equalized through Nina Rainer in the 15th minute. The score remained tied at 1–1 until the 36th minute, when Lena Artner made it 2–1 for the Sabres. In the 44th minute, Kinga Jokai-Szilagyi increased the lead to 3–1. The visitors did not let this two-goal advantage slip until the final whistle.

With six points, the Sabres now hold the maximum possible total in the Placement Round, followed by the Highlanders with three points and the VSV Lady Hawks, who remain without points so far.
