Despite Vienna coming out hard, the guests opened the scoring when Thomas Raffl finished a breakaway. The Red Bulls stayed efficient with Bud Holloway doubling the lead on power play. The hosts tried everything but were not able to beat former team mate JP Lamoureux in the Salzburg net. Raphael Herburger added a third for the Red Bulls in the middle period, though. In the third the Caps broke the spell but Raffl made the game safe with an empty net goal.

KAC gets another win against Graz

EC-KAC got off a great start with Thomas Koch scoring an early brace within 25 seconds. After Patrick Harand added a third, Greg Squires got Graz on the scoreboard. After a goalless second period Klagenfurt extended the lead with two more goals. It was their 6th successive win against the 99ers.

Bartos-Bowles-Beranek decide game in Hungary

After letting a 3:0 lead slip away and losing their last two games, HC Orli Znojmo got back on track against Fehervar. While Anthony Luciani scored two first-period goals, Daniel Koger lit the lamp for the temporary equalizer. With Fehervar's 1.000th regular season goal at home, Scott Timmins tied it at two. But this time Znojmo kept nerves and the attacking line Bartos-Bowles-Beranek produced four more goals for a 6:2 road win.

Black Wings earn tight win at Dornbirn
In their away game at Dornbirn, Liwest Black Wings Linz were the better side for 40 minutes. While Rick Schofield netted the early lead, the home side tied it with a Stefan Häußle goal - 1:1 after two periods. Dornbirn generated more in the third but Linz retook the lead twice. And the goal of Josh Roach was the game winner with DEC suffering the 7th successive defeat.

Innsbruck wins derby in shootout
The 7th season game of HC TWK Innsbruck was once more decided by only one goal and they went to overtime for a fifth time. Despite the hosts getting an early lead, Bolzano turned the game around till the 27th minute. With a third-period pp goal, Tyler Spurgeon sent it to overtime. After no goals were scored in the extra session, Innsbruck found the back of the net in all three shootout attempts for their second season win.
