EC Red Bull Salzburg also prevailed in the second playoff quarterfinal match of the win2day ICE Hockey League against Hydro Fehérvár AV19 with 2:1 and thus leads in the "best-of-7" series with 2:0. In a tough, partly rough game, the Red Bulls fell behind early. Already in the fourth minute, Akos Mihaly caused euphoria in the stands. But the guests equalized before the end of the first period, with Benjamin Nissner (14th) scoring after a 3-on-2 counterattack. In the 35th minute, the reigning champions took the lead, Lucas Thaler was successful after a short poke. The Salzburg side did not relinquish their narrow lead until the end. Linz ties series against Bolzano

Top-seeded HCB Südtirol Alperia, on the other hand, missed out on a second win, with the Bolzano side suffering a 2:1 defeat in Linz. With a beautiful finish Shawn St-Amant put the home side in the lead in the fifth minute. The game was very even in the further course, the next goal came only ten minutes before the end of regulation. Cole Hults equalized with a powerplay goal into the short cross corner. But the Upper Austrians had a prompt answer. Emilio Romig (53rd) finished a counterattack ice-cold and Linz brought the narrow lead over time.
