Salzburg hires ICE‘ top goal scorer

EC Red Bull Salzburg has signed Ty Loney, the best goal scorer of the past season in the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League. In addition, the third ranked announced that Alexander Rauchenwald, Jack Skille and Yannic Pilloni (EC GRAND Immo VSV) will leave the club.

With 37 goals, ten in the playoffs, Ty Loney was the top scorer in the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League in the past season. The US American first came to Austria three years ago, playing for the Moser Medical Graz99ers before spending the last two seasons at the spusu Vienna Capitals. Last season was his best ever in the international league with 27 goals and 21 assists in 44 regular season games and an incredible 10 goals and 6 assists in 10 games of the postseason.

"My family and I had two wonderful years in Vienna. But now I am very excited to play for the Red Bulls. Salzburg is a great city with a great ice arena and I really appreciate the professionalism with which the Red Bulls work. Coach Matt McIlvane has a great vision for the team and I would love to be a part of that team," Ty Loney, who is currently in Pittsburgh with his wife and two children, said about his move to Salzburg.

Three players leave Salzburg
Alexander Rauchenwald, Jack Skille and Yannic Pilloni have not received a new contract at EC Red Bull Salzburg for the upcoming season. Pilloni moved to EC GRAND Immo VSV a few days ago. For Rauchwald ends a seven-year commitment, in 426 league games he recorded exactly 155 points (70G|85A). Currently, the 27-year-old is in the squad of the Austrian national team for a tournament in Slovenia. Pilloni made his debut in the Red Bulls' professional team in 2019/20 and made it to 80 games (2 goals, 10 assists) by the end. Jack Skille joined the Red Bulls team in November last year and played 36 games (11 goals, 11 assists) with the Salzburger side.
