Salzburg now fourth after sixth win in a row

On Tuesday, the Red Bull Hockey Juniors recorded a clear 5-2 road win in their first duel of the season against HK RST Pellet Celje. With their sixth win in a row, Salzburg moved up to fourth place in the Alps Hockey League standings. Paul Noll also scored the game-winning goal with his first league goal. The Slovenians suffered their fourth defeat in a row.

HK RST Pellet Celje and Red Bull Hockey Juniors faced each other for the first time ever. Salzburg arrived with five wins in a row and also set the pace in the opening period, as Phillip Sinn (19.) rewarded the visitors with the opening goal late on. The Slovenians kept pace in the second period and equalized through Zan Flajs (34.). Celje also had the right answer to Salzburg's renewed lead in the final period on the powerplay. In the end, however, their strength waned and the Juniors added goals from Paul Noll (54.), Vadim Schreiner (59.) and Jesse Helander (60.).
