The EC Red Bull Salzburg announced the commitment of Brendan Mikkelson. The 31-year-old Canadian moves from German champion Adler Mannheim to Salzburg. Salzburg signs DEL-Champion / Vienna Capitals commit Mark Flood

Brendan Mikkelson will strengthen the defense of EC Red Bull Salzburg next season. In the past season the 31-year-old played at the Adler Mannheim with which he became DEL-champions. Prior to his involvement in Germany Mikkelson was active in Sweden at Luleå HF. His professional carreer started in North America. From 2008 Mikkelson played for a long time alternately in the NHL and the AHL and came with the Anaheim Ducks, Calgary Flames and the Tampa Bay Lightning on a total of 131 NHL games.

Vienna Capitals commit Mark Flood

With Mark Flood the spusu Vienna Capitals are going into the upcoming Erste Bank Eishockey Liga season with plenty of new experience. The 34-year-old has already been active in numerous top leagues. In the NHL the defender played 39 games for the New York Islanders and the Winnipeg Jets, in the KHL he was in action in 156 games. 

In the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga Flood was active for EC Red Bull Salzburg in the season 2016-17. Last he played for Ilves Hockey in Finland. In 60 games he scored three goals.

Now he is looking forward to his time in the federal capital: "Vienna was my first option when all the offers were on the table, because the caps have a 'winning tradition'. I want to play at a club that seriously struggles for the title every year.“
