German Justin Schütz has reasons to celebrate: The 18-year old Red Bull Hockey Juniors forward has been drafted by the NHL-club Florida Panthers in round 6 on Sunday.
 
„Red Steelers“ and "Furies“ have added offensive power to their roster
The Slovenian forwards Gasper Glavic, Jaka Sodja and Blaz Tomazevic will go for goals and points for HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice 2018/19 as well. Each youngster has been a key-player for the "Red Steelers" last season, scoring at least 16 points in the Alps Hockey League: Tomazevic had 21 points (8G/13A) out of 48 games, Glavic 17 points (8G/9A) out of 46 matches and Sodja 16 points (7G/9A) out of 44 games. Besides, they have won the Slovenian title with the team this year too.
 
The Italians Ivan Demetz, Benjamin Kostner, Joel Brugnoli and Gabriel Vinatzer will continue to play for HC Gherdeina valgardena.it in the upcoming season as well. 25-year old Vinatzer was the best scorer in the team last season, he had 40 points (15G/25A) out of 38 games. Besides, 30-year old Demetz (4G/23A), 30-year old Kostner (11G/8A) and 27-year old Brugnoli (1G) will give offensive-power to the "Furies" 2018/19 as well.
 
Polar Bears announced their goalies for 2018/19
EK Zeller Eisbären will start with the goalies Patrick Machreich, Dominik Frank, Manuel Schößwendter and Alois Schultes into the upcoming-season. Machreich and Frank have already played for the Polar Bears in the Alps Hockey League last season. Machreich earned a save% of 91.3 and a GAA of 3.24 out of 26 games, while Frank had a save% of 89,6 and a GAA of 3,6 out of 16 games. Schößwendter and youngster Schultes are looking forward to their first appearences for the club from Pinzgau in the Alps Hockey League season 2018/19.
