Canadian Yann Sauve is already best known in Zagreb. The big, strong defenseman has started his Europe-career in Croatia in July 2016 and has earned three points (2G/1A) out of 25 Kontinental Hockey League games. The 28-years old Canadian has won the DEL with EHC Red Bull München in the same season. Sauve has defended for the Nottingham Panthers in the EIHL past season and has scored 40 points (11G/29A) out of 58 games. Sauve has also played eight games for the Vancouver Canucks in the National Hockey League (NHL) between 2010 and 2014. “We are very pleased to have Yann coming back to play for Medveščak. Yann is a big strong two-way puck moving defenseman who played very well for us at the KHL level two years ago. He skates very well and also has a great shot. He went to Red Bull Munich and won a championship in the DEL, and played very well there to finish that season. He's got great character and we know he will be a great addition to our blue line. He's also very excited to come back to Zagreb”, Medveščak's sports director Aaron Fox commented Sauvé's return.

Forward Jordan Hickmott (CAN) went from Villach to Linz and Captain Tyler Spurgeon continues playing for HC TWK Innsbruck „Die Haie“ 2018/19 as well.
