Morten Jensen shows some similarities with his new teammate Emil Kristensen. Both come from the same city and the same club (Esbjerg) and took the detour via Sweden to get into professional ice hockey.

Morten Jensen played for Sweden (Rögle) already in his youth and worked his way up to appearances in the SHL. The 182 cm tall left-shooter was always part of the Danish junior selection and in all teams he was also one of the most offensively strong defensemen. Of the last five years, Jensen spent four in the Danish league and won the championships with Rungsted in 2019 and 2021, the latter, by the way, together with Shane Hanna: both contributed with 109 scoring points (59 Hanna, 50 Jensen) to win the title. In 2021/22, Jensen became the internal top scorer and second overall in the Metal Ligaen - and that as a defenseman. Even in the Champions Hockey League, Jensen scored in all of his six games.

Morten Jensen: "I'm very excited to become part of the Wolves family and to play in front of the fans at Intercable Arena. I've heard nothing but good things about the city, the team and the fanbase. I'm really looking forward to meeting all of you in the near future."
