The second last round of the Regular Season takes place on Wednesday at 20:00. So far, three teams - HK SZ Olimpija Ljubljana, Rittner Buam and HC Pustertal Wölfe - have managed to qualify for the playoffs. With the S.G. Cortina Hafro the fourth team is about to qualify for the Master Round. They only need one more victory. Behind them, the battle for the top six is fierce. Fifth placed VEU Feldkirch and tenth placed Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan are separated by only five points.

In order to stay in the race for a top six place, the EHC Lustenau needs an away win at the leaders HK SZ Olimpija Ljubljana. With six losses in a row, the Vorarlbergers are only in ninth place. However, the gap to sixth Jesenice is only two points. Ljubljana, on the other hand, has won the last twelve games in the AHL and will definitely finish the Regular Season in first place. The Slovenians won the first duel this season with 3:1. HKO won seven of the eight duels in AHL history.

A duel between two top six teams will take place in Feldkirch on Wednesday. The fifth in the table VEU Feldkirch meets sixth HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice. However, both teams need victories in order not to be overtaken by the following teams. With eight victories in a row, Jesenice is currently the strongest team in the league alongside Ljubljana. Feldkirch has won three of the last five games. In the first duel of the season, the Vorarlbergers had no chance in the 0:4 defeat in Jesnice. In total, both teams met nine times in the AHL. The guests from Slovenia won five games.

In the only season duel, the Italians won with 6:3. It was the seventh victory in the seventh duel for SGC over the KEC.

With 73 goals conceded, the HCP is extremely strong in the defensive. Goalkeeper Colin Furlong is third in the Goaltending Statisitcs with a save percentage of 92.8%.

In the AHL, Asiago recently celebrated a narrow home win after overtime over the Red Bull Hockey Juniors. Previously, they lost against two top six teams twice after shootout. The Silver Caps won one of the last five games in their debut season in the AHL. In the first direct duel, ASH prevailed with 3:0.
