Dylan Di Perna took his first steps on the ice in the OHL in the jersey of the Kitchener Rangers, with whom he scored 86 points in 293 games. In 2017 he moved to the university championship USports: in three seasons with Saint Mary's University he collected 55 points in 109 matches. This was followed by a move to Europe to Bolzano. In his first professional season, the 25-year-old recorded a total of nine points from 58 matches, where he particularly stood out for his consistency and commitment.

Di Perna scored his first goal in the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League on 3 January 2021 in a match against Dornbirn. An injury shortly before the start of the playoffs then put the defender out of action: after a surgical face operation and a rapid rehabilitation phase, he returned to the ice with a face mask in time for the semifinal series against the spusu Vienna Capitals.
