On Thursday the final two rounds of 2017 in Alps Hockey League are about to start with a couple of regional duels. Kitzbühel is heading into the next games with their new headcoach Tomas Martinec. The Rittner Buam aim to come back on to the winning streak. The Red Bulls Hockey Juniors are facing the second Slovenian Team and try to capture the fourth consecutive win.

28.12.2017 HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice - EC KAC II
Referees: PODLESNIK, SUPPER, Bedynek, Miklic
After a six games winning streak Jesenice had to take a defeat against Salzburg recently. The EC-KAC 2 lost against Ljubljana recently and is now heading to the second Slovenian team within two days. Jesenice is currently placed on the third place. Jesenice won the first two duels and aims to narrow the gap to the leader of Ritten. 
 
28.12.2017 HK SZ Olimpija - Red Bull Hockey Juniors
Referees: OFNER, WALLNER, Arlic, Snoj
The two teams are two of the hottest team in the league. Salzburg recently booked a big win against Jesenice. It was the third consecutive win of the Hockey Juniors and still have the playoffs in focus. Currently they are trailing by 16 points to Ljubljana on the sixths place, but absolved eight games less than the Slovenians. Ljubljana won the past four games. It is the first duel of these two teams.
 
28.12.2017 EC Bregenzerwald - EHC Alge Elastic Lustenau
Referees: RUETZ, STRASSER, Kalb, Rinker
Lustenau and Bregenzerwald already faced each other in December. More than three weeks ago Bregenzerwald celebrated a 5:2 success. Lustenau won three out of the past four games. For Bregenzerwald wins and defeats changed from game to game. In the standings Bregenzwerald is currently on the eights place with an seven points advantage to Lustenau. 
 
28.12.2017 EC 'Die Adler' Stadtwerke Kitzbühel - FBI VEU Feldkirch
Referees: DURCHNER, FICHTNER, Kainberer, Oberhuber
Kitzbühel starts with a new headcoach in to the next home games. The German/ Czech Tomas Martinec took over the team on the 27th December and celebrated his debut against Feldkirch. Kitzbühel lost the past four games, but in the last game against the leader of the league Ritten they booked a 6:5 success. Feldkirch won the past game against Lustenau and captured the fourth place. The first duel between these two games went to Feldkirch in overtime.

Referees: LAZZERI, LEGA, Piras, Terragni
Riley Brace is the first player who collected 100 points in Alps Hockey League history (regular season). The new forward of Cortina Derek Roehl even succeeded with a double strike in the past game at the 4:2 win against the Fassa Falcons. Cortina won five of their past six games. The Rittner Buam had to take two consecutive defeats recently. It was the first time that Ritten lost two games in a row this season. First they won against Kitzbühel in Overtime, after that the had to take a defeat in shoot out against Pustertal.
 
28.12.2017 WSV Sterzing Broncos Weihenstephan - HC Neumarkt Riwega
Referees: MORI, MOSCHEN, Rigoni, Wiest
After six defeats in a row, the WSV Sterzing Broncos booked a success recently. Against the HC Gherdeina they celebrated a 5:3 win. The HC Neumarkt lost five out of the past six games, recently they lost against Asiago 1:5. The first two duels went to Sterzing, who is currently placed on the 9th place trailing by seven points to the sixth place. Neumarkt is currently ranked on the 15th place.
 
28.12.2017 HC Gherdeina valgardena.it - Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey
Referees: BENVEGNU, PIANEZZE, Egger, Giacomozzi
Asiago won the past six games and are the first runner up of the Rittner Buam. The HC Gherdeina recently lost against Sterzing and  is ranked on the 14th place. The first two duels was decided by Asiago. Asiago is only trailing by four points to the leader of Ritten. Asiago is the best team in powerplay. They convert 26,3% of they powerplays and already scored 31 goals in powerplay.
 
28.12.2017 HC Fassa Falcons - HC Pustertal Wölfe
Referees: KUCHER, VIRTA. Bedana, Holzer
The HC Pustertal recenty booked a huge success against the Rittner Buam. With that win Pustertal captured the fifths place. The Fassa Falcons lost the past nine games and are on the 16th place. Pustertal won the first duel with 5:1 and aim to extend their streak.
