Tuesday's single game between S.G. Cortina Hafro and Red Bull Hockey Juniors will bring the international break in the Alps Hockey League to an end. A seven-game winning streak ended for Cortina just before the break. The Northern Italians suffered a surprisingly clear defeat against the Steel Wings Linz AG. The Red Bull Hockey Juniors were also unable to win their last game before the break - they lost 2:4 against the Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan after two previous victories. The teams have not yet met this season. But the two teams played out a thrilling semi-final series in the previous season, in which Cortina narrowly prevailed in seven games. The away team won each of the last five duels. Defender Ablerto Colli, who still plays for Cortina, shot the team from the Dolomites into the finals.

Another single game follows on Wednesday before another big game on Thursday. In the Austrian duel, EC Bregenzerwald will host Steel Wings Linz AG. After a good start to the season, the team from Vorarlberg recently lost their way and lost three of their last four games before the break. The Steel Wings Linz, on the other hand, had a pleasing last game, winning 6:1 against Cortina. William Persson and Mikael Saha each scored a brace. EC Bregenzerwald are even better placed in the table than their Wednesday opponents. They currently have a five-point lead over the Upper Austrians.
