After the home team had won each of the first six games, Pustertal secured the necessary away win in game seven. Pustertal won the first two encounters 5:3 and 2:1, followed by a 2:0 home win for Klagenfurt. In the last meeting, on February 2, the KAC clearly won 7:1 in Bruneck.
