Sisak extends lead – Gherdeina climbs to second place

KHL Sisak strengthened its position at the top of the Alps Hockey League standings with an away win over the Rittner Buam SkyAlps. HC Gherdeina valgardena.it climbed to second place after taking the South Tyrol derby in Sterzing, while the Red Bull Hockey Juniors celebrated an impressive home victory over defending champion EK Die Zeller Eisbären. HC Meran/o Pircher turned things around in Cortina with a last-minute goal to earn their second straight win.

Sisak wins top clash in Ritten
League leaders KHL Sisak bounced back from their loss in Gherdeina with a strong performance on the road, defeating the Rittner Buam SkyAlps 3:1. Early goals from Vito Idzan and Danila Larionovs set the tone for the visitors. Jacob Crespi cut the deficit in the first period, but Marijus Dumcius sealed the win for Sisak in the final frame.
With 14 points from six games, Sisak remains atop the standings, while Ritten dropped to sixth with ten points.

Gherdeina takes the South Tyrol derby
HC Gherdeina valgardena.it came out on top in the South Tyrol derby, defeating the Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan 2:1 on the road. Sacha Guimond opened the scoring in the first period, followed by a goal from Stephan Deluca. Franco Sproviero gave the hosts hope late in the game, but Gherdeina held on for the win.
The “Furies” recorded their third straight victory and moved up to second place with 12 points, while the Broncos now sit fourth with 11.

Juniors dominate defending champion Zell in Salzburg derby
In the Salzburg derby, the Red Bull Hockey Juniors cruised to a 5:1 win over defending champion EK Die Zeller Eisbären. After conceding the opening goal, the Juniors responded through Vadim Schreiner, Florian Lanzinger, Nick Maul (2) and Maxim Eliseev to secure a convincing victory.
With their third win of the season, Teemu Levijoki’s team climbed to third place, tied on points with Gherdeina. Zell, after four games, remains ninth in the standings.

Meran turns game around in final minute
HC Meran/o Pircher celebrated a dramatic 3:2 comeback win in Cortina. Trailing 0:2 after goals by Lorenzo Pilan and Daniel Gellon, the visitors struck back in the third period. Rasmus Nousiainen tied the game before David Trivellato scored twice – including the winner just 14 seconds from time.
The Eagles earned their second consecutive victory and moved up to eighth with eight points, level with seventh-placed Cortina.

Current Standings
After six rounds, Sisak continues to lead the league, followed by Gherdeina and the Red Bull Hockey Juniors. The Broncos and Kitzbühel round out the top five, while Meran continues its climb. Unterland, Jesenice and Asiago remain at the bottom of the standings.
