Slovenian-Duel for the lead

This weekend the two Slovenian teams are battling each other for the lead of Alps Hockey League. But also in the midfield there are some duels of close teams. The EK Zeller Eisbären are hosting their neighbors of the standings, Sterzing and the HC Pustertal is visiting Feldkirch, who is currently close ahead.

HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice - HK SZ Olimpija

Since that season, there are two Slovenian teams in the Alps Hockey League. For the first time these two teams are facing each other. And the situation in the standings couldn’t be more exciting. If one of these teams can capture the full three points, this team will take the lead of the league. Jesenice only lost one game this season. Ljubljana already played two more games and lost three games in total.

EC Bregenzerwald - HC Gherdeina valgardena.it
Referees: LAZZERI, VIRTA, Rinker, Tschrepitsch
The EC Bregenzerwald is hosting the HC Gherdeina this Saturday. Bregenzerwald had the better start into this season, Gherdeina only celebrated two wins in eight games. Recently Gherdeina lost a very close game against the Broncos. Bregenzerwald had a quite successful weekend Slovenia. Before they lost in shoot out against Jesenice, the booked an overtime win against Ljubljana.

EK Zeller Eisbären - WSV Sterzing Broncos Weihenstephan
Referees: KUCHER, LENDL, Legat, Legat
With the Zeller Eisbären and the Sterzing Broncos two neighbors in the standings are facing each other. Both teams have collected the same amount of points so far but Zell am See have one game more in their legs. After a very good season start of the Eisbären, they got defeated in three out of the last four games. 

FBI VEU Feldkirch - HC Pustertal Wölfe
Referees: OFNER, PODLESNIK, Bärnthaler, Holzer
Also the FBI VEU Feldkirch and the HC Pustertal are close together in the standings. Feldkirch is currently two points ahead on the 8th place. Pustertal lost the past two games and dropped to the 10th place. Feldkirch is currently on a run and are having a winning streak of three games. For Pustertal Thomas. Erlacher will not be able to play

HC Fassa Falcons - HC Neumarkt Riwega
Referees: BAJT, FAJDIGA, Miklic, Snoj
The HC Neumarkt struggled in the beginning of the season. After eight games the wild goose captured only one single point. The Falcons were more successful so far, they collected eleven points and are on the twelfth place. Recently they booked a 6:0 success against the KAC.

S.G. Cortina Hafro - EHC Alge Elastic Lustenau
Referees: LEGA, MISCHIATTI, Basso, Terragni
The S.G. Cortina Hafro is in the upper midfield after nine games. Lustenau didn’t find their rhythm in this season till now. After seven games they are ranked on the 14th place. Recently Lustenau booked a win against Pustertal. Also Cortina was successful in their past game, they won against Kitzbphel in overtime.

Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey - EC KAC II
Referees: LESNIAK, PIANEZZE, Pagon, Rigoni
The EC-KAC is still without points in this season. And it won’t be easier against Asiago Hockey, as they are one of the top-4 teams in this league. Asiago is currently on a five games winning streak. With another win they are able to narrow the gap to the top-3, as the two Slovenian teams are facing each other.
