Soudek’s five goals lead Feldkirch to derby win

In today’s lone Alps Hockey League game Robin Soudek led the VEU Feldkirch to a 7:4 derby win over EC Bregenzerwald. With five goals Soudek took over the lead in the goal scoring charts too. After the fourth consecutive home win the VEU climbed to eighth place in standings, having the same amount of points as sixth-placed Rittner Buam.

The VEU Feldkirch won the fifth consecutive Vorarlberg-Derby in Alps Hockey League against the EC Bregenzerwald, as they snatched up a 7:4 home win, thanks to a strong final frame. With the win the VEU remains unbeaten in AHL-derbys against the “Wälder”, collecting the sixth victory. The ECB lost the ninth road game in a row. Robin Soudek, who left his mark with five goals, opened the scoring after five minutes. Despite having much more chances, the VEU had to take the Jonas Kutzer’s equalizer 16 seconds left in the first. The guests, which were quite effective in front of the net, took the lead in the second and answered any equalizers of the VEU. At the beginning of the last Philipp Pöschmann put Bregenzerwald up for the third time this game, as Daniel Fekete balanced it for the VEU later again and then Robin Soudek entered the stage: the forward shows a hattrick, made five goals in total, and decided the game about 9,5 minutes left.
