Third-placed Kitzbühel currently sit on 12 points, just one point ahead of the Red Bull Hockey Juniors, who enjoy home-ice advantage on Tuesday. Salzburg suffered a 1–3 loss in Gherdeina on Saturday — their first defeat after two consecutive wins. Kitzbühel also lost for the first time after two straight victories, falling 2–5 at league leaders KHL Sisak. On the road, the Eagles have so far only one overtime win to their name, while the Juniors have won two of their four home games and collected points in every one of them. The teams last met on November 26, 2024, when Kitzbühel cruised to a dominant 8–0 home victory. The Tyroleans also won the other two encounters last season convincingly (6–1, 8–1).

South Tyrol Derby: Ritten hosts Gherdeina
HC Gherdeina valgardena.it currently rank second with 15 points, just two points behind leaders KHL Sisak. With a win in the derby against the Rittner Buam SkyAlps, Gherdeina could climb to the top of the standings. Ritten sit sixth with 11 points, having played one game more than Gherdeina and winning only three of their eight matches so far. Last week, they fell to both Sisak (1–3) and Cortina (3–4/SO), while Gherdeina extended their winning streak to four consecutive victories — currently the longest in the league. The two sides already met once during preseason, with Ritten narrowly winning 2–1. In league play, Ritten have won the last six meetings against Gherdeina. The last victory for the “Furie” dates back to September 29, 2022.

Zell am See vs. Cortina
Reigning champions EK Die Zeller Eisbären currently sit ninth, just one point behind eighth-placed S.G. Cortina Hafro, though with two games in hand. Last weekend, Zell celebrated a 4–3 road win in Asiago, bouncing back after two straight losses. Cortina also recorded a 4–3 victory, beating Ritten in a shootout, after having dropped their two previous games. In last year’s head-to-head matchups, Cortina won three of the five meetings between the two sides.

Battle at the Bottom: Jesenice vs. Unterland
Tuesday also features a matchup between struggling teams, as HDD Jesenice take on the Hockey Unterland Cavaliers. Both sides have won just one of their seven games so far, sitting in 12th (JES) and 13th (HCU) place respectively. Jesenice’s only win came on September 26 at home against Bregenzerwald (3–0), while Unterland earned theirs one day later with a 3–2 road victory in Ritten. Last season, the Slovenians won all three meetings against the South Tyroleans.
