The top game from Salzburg will be available in the free livestream on www.live.ice.hockey and JOYN. In the battle for the pre-playoffs, there will be a direct duel between the tenth-placed spusu Vienna Capitals and the eleventh-placed Pioneers Vorarlberg on Saturday. EC Red Bull Salzburg - Moser Medical Graz99ers
The top game of the 50th round between Salzburg and Graz is available in the free livestream on www.live.ice.hockey and www.joyn.at. While the Red Bulls just managed to avoid their second defeat in 24 hours on Wednesday, winning 4:3/OT in Pustertal, the Graz99ers were beaten 3:5 in Linz. The Styrians, currently in sixth place in the table, are just one point ahead of seventh-placed VSV. Villach are not in action on Friday, so the 99ers could regain some breathing space with a win in Salzburg. Salzburg have a six-point lead over seventh place and are therefore practically already qualified for the play-offs. Should the Red Bulls pick up at least one point against Graz, they would no longer be mathematically displaced from the top six. Salzburg have won all three encounters against the 99ers so far this season (4:1, 3:2, 3:2/OT). Graz have been waiting for a win against the Red Bulls for a total of seven games.

After the game between Linz and Graz, Sam Antonitsch of the Graz99ers got an automatic fine of €200.00 for his game misconduct penalty. If a player is assessed a 5-minute penalty + game-misconduct penalty that does not result in an additional suspension by DOPS, that player is subject to an automatic fine as follows: € 200 if it is a "first-time offender"; € 400 if it is a "repeat offender".

HC Pustertal - HCB Südtirol Alperia
The 50th round also includes a South Tyrolean derby between Pustertal and Bozen. The home side from Bruneck has been waiting four derbies for a win. The team in ninth place in the table will not be the favorites on Friday either, as they have been beaten in each of their last five games. On Wednesday, Pustertal squandered a 3:1 lead against Salzburg and ultimately lost 3:4/OT. Third-placed Bolzano need just one point from their remaining three games to secure the play-off qualification. On Wednesday, the “Foxes” celebrated an unchallenged 3:0 home win against Asiago. However, Bolzano have been waiting for a win away from home for three games. Their last success away from home after regular time was seven games ago - the last time they managed that was on January 1.

HC TIWAG Innsbruck - spusu Vienna Capitals
Important points in the fight for the pre-playoffs are at stake for Vienna in Innsbruck. The tenth-placed Capitals lost 0:4 to Villach on Wednesday, but still has a five-point lead over the eleventh-placed Pioneers Vorarlberg, who let a three-goal lead slip away in Klagenfurt. Innsbruck, on the other hand, are bottom of the table and have no chance of finishing in the Top 10. Friday's game will be the second in 24 hours for the Tyroleans - they face Fehérvár at home on Thursday. The “Sharks” have had no chance against Vienna so far this season, suffering three clear defeats (2:8, 0:10, 2:5). Just 24 hours after the game in Innsbruck, Vienna will face the Pioneers in a direct duel for tenth place.

Pioneers Vorarlberg - Hydro Fehérvár AV19
The Vorarlberg team will first face Fehérvár. It will be the second game in 24 hours for the Hungarians - they will visit Innsbruck on Thursday. Fehérvár need five points from both games to secure an play-off spot early. The Pioneers are five points behind the tenth-placed Capitals with three games to go in the Regular Season. They therefore absolutely need a win against Fehérvár to stay in the race for the pre-playoffs. The Pioneers have been beaten in their last two encounters (2:3, 2:5), but in their first meeting this season they still managed to win 4:3.

Olimpija Ljubljana - Steinbach Black Wings Linz
With a brilliant final period Linz turned a 2:3 deficit against Graz into a 5:3 home win on Wednesday. As a result, the Upper Austrians improved to fourth place in the table and now have a two-point lead over Villach, who will be free from play on Friday. It was the third win in a row for the Black Wings, who visit Ljubljana on Friday. It will be the first game for the Slovenians after the international break. Before the break, the eighth-placed team had won three games in a row. However, Ljubljana didn´t win against Linz this season - all of their previous encounters have gone to the Black Wings (1:8, 1:4, 2:4).

Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey - EC-KAC
League leader Klagenfurt have to face twelfth-placed Asiago on Friday. The KAC celebrated its fifth win in a row on Wednesday. The Carinthians were 1:4 down in the meantime against the Pioneers before tying the game at just 23 seconds before the end of regulation time - they then extended their winning streak in overtime. Their lead over their closest rivals, Salzburg and Bolzano, is already four points. Asiago have already been in action twice this week: first they managed a surprising 4:3/SO home win against Salzburg, then they were beaten 0:3 away at Bolzano in “Il Grande Classico”. With a 15-point deficit to tenth place, the Italians no longer have a chance of making the pre-playoffs. They have been waiting for a win against the KAC since November 3, 2023 and five games.

Pioneers Vorarlberg - spusu Vienna Capitals
There will also be a match on Saturday. It will be a duel between the Pioneers and Vienna, which - depending on Friday's results - could still be decisive in the battle for the pre-playoffs. So far this season, the Pioneers have won all three head-to-head duels and have therefore already won the direct duel.
