Thomas Spinell ends career
Rittner Buam veteran Thomas Spinell has declared his extremely successful career to be over at the age of only 29. The right wing played continuously for the Buam from his youth until the end. In eleven professional seasons, Spinell played in 557 games and scored 109 goals. His greatest successes include winning the Alps Hockey League in 2017 and winning the Italian championship five times.

"To be honest, Thomas was probably one of the most gifted ice hockey players who ever played for Ritten. Unfortunately, he did not always want to show his full potential, he was unique in many ways. But when it came down to it, he was always ready. With his inimitable manner, he gave us a lot of pleasure and fun on and off the ice for more than a decade," Thomas Rottensteiner, president of the Rittner Buam said.
