For the first time, 24-years-old Michael Kernberger will not play for the EC-KAC in the upcoming season. The defender played for all youth stations of the KAC. In addition, the native of Klagenfurt has already been on the ice 145 times for the KAC's first team. "I have been considering a change for some time. Graz was among my desired stops because I believe that I can take one of my next career steps here and develop myself at the same time," said Michael Kernberger.

With Zintis Zusevics, a Graz veteran is also returning. The Latvian played for the Graz club from 2009 to 2020. Last season, the 27-years-old was active with the EHC Lustenau and the Steinbach Black Wings 1992.
