44-year-old Canadian Steve Walker has been named the new head coach of Erste Bank Eishockey Liga runners-up EC-KAC. In addition, HC TWK Innsbruck extended the contract of winger Fabio Schramm while club icon Patrick Mössmer takes over coordination of youth coaches.

Steve Walker can look back to a great career as player. After four IHL years with Detroid Vipers, where he got the championship title in 1997, Walker transferred to Eisbären Berlin in 2000. The Canadian played 593 games for the club until his career end, getting five championship titles. Back in Canada, he started his coaching career with youth teams in Ontario, before returning to Germany in 2015 as Adler Mannheim's assistant coach. After two years he wanted to become head coach and accepted the offer from Klagenfurt.
 
Fabio Schramm stays in Innsbruck
Fabio Schramm extended his contract, entering his fifth season with HC TWK Innsbruck in Erste Bank Eishockey Liga. Last campaign he earned three assists in 42 games. In addition, club icon Patrick Mössmer takes over coordination of youth coaches.
