The Slovenia road trip began for EHC Lustenau in Jesenice, with the Austrians having to do without Jesper Alasaari and Jonas Kutzer at short notice. The game at the champions was an even affair over 40 minutes, as the Slovenians were ahead three times until the second intermission – the "Stickers" usually had the right answer by return.
