With the signing of Tadej Cimzar, reigning champions HK SZ Olimpija Ljubljana hired a Slovenian international player. After the center started his career at Triglav Kranj, he moved to Jesenice for four seasons. Between 2015 and 2019 he played a total of 125 games in Alps Hockey League. With 57 points (24G | 33A), Cimzar was league’s ninth best scorer back in 2018-19 season. Past season he played in Poland at KH GKS Katowice, where he posted 28 (12G | 16A) points in 52 games.

However, HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice announced the contract extensions of Erik Svetina (20-year-old) and Jaka Sturm (21). Both scored more than 25 points in AHL’s past season.
