Short text 368 CharactersPlain text

It is hard to imagine HC Pustertal without Armin Hofer. The now 35-year-old defender is already entering his 19th season - his fourth as captain or his second in the win2day ICE Hockey League. In the coming season, the "leading wolf" could replace Martin Crepaz (863 appearances) as record player. Hofer currently holds with 828 appearances in the yellow-black jersey.

Starting on Wednesday, August 3, the Pustertal coaches will ask the players to take to the ice at the Intercable Arena. One who is already never missing from summer training is Armin Hofer, who is facing his 19th professional season with HC Pustertal. Armin Hofer made his debut for the professional team of the Wolves in 2004/05 as a then 17-year-old and also promptly gets stints in the U18, U20 and senior national teams. Since then, it is impossible to imagine Pustertal without the defender.

Hofer could replace the "eternal" Martin Crepaz (863 appearances) in the coming season - without ever having played for another club - as the Wolves' crack with the most games. Hofer was on the ice 828 times for the Wolves. Now it's time for the professional 35-year-old - after many years in a leadership role - to move on to the next season. In 2021/22 he achieved two goals and four assists for the Wolves in the win2day ICE Hockey League. Hofer will be the only player over 30 in the coming season.
