The Erste Bank Eishockey Liga season 2017/18 will begin on Friday, September 8th 2017. Until March 4th 2018 totally 54 rounds (regular season + Intermediate Round) are played, then will start the Playoff. The Champion 2018 is known latest on April 22nd 2018.

In 115 days - on Friday, September 8th 2017 – will start the Erste Bank Eishockey League-season 2017/18! The modus stayed unchanged: Also in the up-coming season the regular season is split: In the first part 44 rounds are played, which means each team has 22 home- and 22 road-games until Sunday, January 28th 2018. The Top 6 after totally 264 games will be qualified for the Playoffs already and will fight then from February 2nd 2018 until March 4th 2018 in the Pick-Round, for the Pick Right and  also for the home advantage for the Quarterfinals. The teams placed 7 to 12 will fight in the same time in the Qualification Round for the last two Playoff-tickets. The Intermediate Round (Pick Round and Qualification Round) brings each team another ten games. The regular season (GD + Intermediate Round) will bring totally 54 rounds and for sure 27 home-games for each club! For the four worst placed clubs ends on March 4th 2018 the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga Championship 2017/18.
 
After totally 324 games on March 4th 2018 will take place also the Playoff-Pick. The Playoffs 2018 start then on Friday, March 9th 2018. Quarterfinals, Semifinals and Finals are all played best of seven. Latest on April 22nd 2018 the Erste Bank Eishockey League Champion 2018 is known.
 
Twice – from November 6th until November 12th 2017 and also from February 12 until February 18th 2018 the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga makes a one-week-break, because of the International Break. The transfer deadline is March 1st 2018.
