For the second time in the history of the Alps Hockey League, the four top-seeded playoff teams have qualified for the semifinals. On Thursday, the two "best-of-7" series Red Bull Hockey Juniors against Hafro Cortina Hockey and HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice against Rittner Buam SkyAlps will start.

Red Bull Hockey Juniors (1) - Hafro Cortina Hockey (4)

  • Salzburg made the first AHL semifinal qualification with a "sweep" against Unterland
  • Cortina won the series against Lustenau with 4:1

  • The first AHL champions are in the semifinals for the fourth time, twice they advanced to the finals
  • In the 2018 semifinals, Ritten decided the "best-of-5" series against Jesenice in its favor
