With five games on two days the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League continues. On Friday, HCB Südtirol Alperia’s season opener against HC TWK Innsbruck “Die Haie” is scheduled, while Sky Sport Austria broadcasts leader Black Wings 1992 hitting the road at spusu Vienna Capitals. The third round closes Saturday, as iClinic Bratislava Capitals travels to EC Red Bull Salzburg.

Hydro Fehérvár AV19 – EC-KAC (7.15 pm)

  • Hydro Fehérvár AV19 is playing its first home game in the young season. The EC-KAC heads into its second road game. The Hungarians are still without a win, while the Austrians took their first victory of the season in Vorarlberg on Sunday.
  • The two teams have already faced each other 66 times, the KAC has won 35 games.
  • In the last ten games AVS was clearly more successful with eight wins.
  • AVS last started the season with two defeats in 2012.
  • Against the Hungarians the KAC has its weakest away balance, won only 33,3% of its games in Székesfehérvár (11/33).
  • At the EC-KAC David Madlener is back in the squad for the first time after his injury. Not available are the two defenders David Fischer and Steven Strong, who have been injured for a long time. Dennis Sticha will make his debut.

  • Both teams are still undefeated in the current championship: The Black Wings 1992 won both games on the first weekend, while the spusu Vienna Capitals clearly dominated their "Season-Opener".
  • So far the two teams have played 137 games against each other. BWI won 73 of them.
  • It is the duel of the two teams with an Austrian starting goalie: Bernhard Starkbaum (93.3%) for Vienna and David Kickert (98.4%) for Linz.

  • The Moser Medical Graz99ers and the Dornbirn Bulldogs will each play their third match of the season on Friday. While the Styrians achieved already one victory, the Vorarlberg are still without a win.
  • The two teams are competing in their 41st duel against each other, G99 has won 25 of them.
  • Of the last 15 guest appearances at the Mur, DEC could only win three.
  • At G99 Detroit Red Wings forward Michael Rasmussen could make his debut. The Canadian arrived in Graz on Wednesday and trained with the team for the first time on Thursday morning.
  • Thomas Höneckl has been part of the DEC line-up since this summer, and the goalie spent the last five seasons in Graz. In the first two games of the season, Oskar Östlund was Dornbirn’s starting goalie.
  • Edmonton Oilers loaner Cooper Marody, who got injured in his first game of the season, has returned to Canada to heal his injury. A return is uncertain.

  • The game between the HCB Südtirol Alperia and the HC TWK Innsbruck "Die Haie" on Friday, October 2, 2020 at 19.45 will take place as scheduled. The PCR tests carried out again on Thursday morning on the Bolzano team were negative. The HCB players who previously tested positive for Covid-19 are still isolated from the rest of the team and will be continuously monitored by the responsible persons of the South Tyrolean Medical Unit and the medical staff of the club.

  • The game between the EC Red Bull Salzburg and the iClinic Bratislava Capitals is scheduled on Saturday, October 3 at 7:15 p.m., as the Slovaks are on a road trip, guesting in Innsbruck Sunday night.
  • Both teams only played one games each in the first two rounds. While Salzburg won clearly (6:1 VSV), the league newcomer lost (2:7 VIC).

  • For BRC only the import players scored, which were all together in one line-up.
