HC Meran/o Pircher head coach Jarrod Skalde was suspended for three games and fined 1000.00 euros due to an incident deemed as Unsportsmanlike Conduct (IIHF Rule 75) in Thursday´s game at S.G. Cortina Hafro.

Jarrod Skalde head-coach of HC Meran/o Pircher, time 59:28 was involved in an incident deemed as Unsportsmanlike Conduct (IIHF Rule 75). Thursday night in Cortina, Meran head-coach Jerrod Skalde was involved in an incident deemed as unsportsmanlike conduct against the on-ice officials. Resulting in a Game-Misconduct penalty being assessed.

Based on the game reports directly from the game officials, after a penalty call, Meran head-coach Jarrod Skalde was throwing water bottles on the ice. The conduct is deemed demeaning, directed at the game officials and shows no respect for the game or the involved persons.

It is the responsibility of all participants, to demonstrate sportsmanship as the game is about to be concluded. Skalde made a willing choice to throw bottles onto the ice in the direction of the game officials. This incident continued for an extended period of time, which is deemed demeaning conduct directed at the game officials and a violation against the integrity of the league and its officials.

The Alps Hockey League Department of Player Safety has suspended Jarrod Skalde for 3 games and fined 1000.00 euros of which 500.00 euros are due immediately and 500.00 euros are set on probation, should there be similar actions until the end of the Alps Hockey League season 2024/25 and the penalty will be imposed in addition to new sanctions.
