On Saturday, the away teams prevailed in the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League. While the Dornbirn Bulldogs claimed a confident 3-1 win over bottom side Black Wings 1992, Hydro Fehérvár AV19 did just enough to seal their three points with the only goal of the game in the 60th minute. Numerous goals were scored in the game between iClini Bratislava Capitals and HCB Südtirol Alperia, which the league leaders finally won after a penalty shootout.

Bolzano defeats Bratislava in penaltyshootout
After two close defeats in a row, HCB Südtirol Alperia, in its first game in Slovakia, prevailed 5:4 after penaltyshootout. Thus, the league newcomer scraped past a win against the Foxes also in the third attempt. As in the 5:6 defeat in November, Bratislava led briefly in the final period. Both teams played "with open sights" - besides numerous goals, the lead changed several times. Each new lead was promptly followed by the equalizer. Not surprisingly, the winner then had to be determined in the penalty shootout, in which Dustin Gazley finally ensured the decision. Already on Sunday both teams are again in action. While the Slovaks will host EC Grand Immo VSV, the Foxes will play in Vienna.

Dornbirn continues its hot streak in Linz
The Dornbirn Bulldogs won 3:1 against the Steinbach Black Wings 1992. The team from Vorarlberg won four of the last five games in the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League and scored five times in a row. For the heavily depleted Linz team, on the other hand, it was already the fifth defeat in a row. The Bulldogs won for the third time this season against the Upper Austrians, who remain bottom of the standings. Dornbirn, on the other hand, climbed to seventh place and thus found the connection to the upper half of the table. Until the 28th minute, the guests had a 2:0 lead, but the Black Wings 1992 were able to shorten it in the second period. Devin Brosseau finally provided the decision in the final period.

One goal is enough for Fehérvár to beat Graz
Fehérvár AV19 beat the Moser Medical Graz99ers 1-0 on Saturday. The Styrians ended their losing streak as late as Thursday, but now had to concede defeat in the last minute, suffering their ninth loss in the last ten games. For the Hungarians, this was already the fifth win in a row. With this series they climbed up to second place in the table for the second time this season. This was the fourth and last time these two teams faced each other in the current regular season. Prior to this last meeting, at least seven goals were scored in each of these duels and the host always prevailed. Both things came differently in the fourth meeting. After 40 scoreless minutes, the Graz team stepped up a gear and started a storming run on Daniel Kornakker's goal, but he seemed to be insurmountable on this evening. Paul Geiger finally ensured the decision in the 60th minute.
