After the derby-loss on Saturday, the EC “Die Adler” Stadtwerke Kitzbühel improved on the defensive end in the home-game against Vienna Capitals Silver, as the Tyrolese allowed only five shots in the first frame and fired twelve to Jere Orpana, Vienna’s netminder. But only Patrick Bolterle could overcome the “Silver Cap”, giving the hosts a tight 1:0 lead after about 15 minutes – which was the game-winner too. Despite the game became rougher and more physical, both teams continued with a solid defense and their netminders kept the sheet clean till the end. “Eagle’s” Stefan Ridderwall got his second shutout this season, Orpana saved 35.
