The puck-drop was done by Frank Banham. The game started balanced. But, then the guest showed up, Woger threatened then Schofield passed to Davies but he missed. On the other end, Hari and Sarpatki threatened, then Brocklehurst hit the post. The game went on high-paced, the first line of the Hungarians pushed hard, Reisz passed to Sille and finally Hari put the puck in the net. Two players had to sit in the penalty box after the goal but neither team could create big chances. At the end of the period, the guests were the better again, Kearns could have tied the game twice but Carruth saved.
The second period started with Sofron’s penalty, Lebler missed twice five on four, then playing full strength, the game went on in front of the Hungarians’ net as well. The next goal was scored by the home team, though, Sille passed to Reisz and the puck went in from his skates in the net. The referees used the video judge system to allow the goal. Brocklehurst was the next in the penalty box but Fehervar was ineffective. Right after that, Koskiranta was penalized, moreover, Krisztian Szabo had to sit in the penalty box, too. Linz did not score five on three, but they tied the game fast, first on the powerplay, Umizevic was successful then Matzka scored from the right. The guests did not stop, Lebler turned the result with a far shot at the end of the period.
Davies threatened right at the beginning of the third period, then Reisz passed to Hari but Ouzas saved. Tikkanen fouled but Fehervar defended well shorthanded. In the 45. minute, Sille threatened, then Harty missed an opportunity. Fehervar worked hard to tie the game, without success. In the middle of the period, the game went on without bigger chances, then Sofron threatened and Sarpatki missed, too. Two minutes before the buzzer, the home team got a big chance as Lebler got a penalty, in spite of Carruth being pulled, Fehervar did not manage to score. Brocklehurst shot in the empty net, making the end result 2-4.

The Bears from Zagreb hosted Klagenfurt on Sunday following 9 losses in a row. Klagenfurt came into the game after a win in the Carinthian derby. Youngster Nikolic made his first start of the season in net for the Bears, but already in the 7th minute was beaten for the first time: after a shot from Neal ricocheted to Hundertpfund's stick he had no problems firing into the upper left corner. Koch doubled the lead in the 15th minute after a quick breakaway. Three minutes after the start of the second period Klagenfurt was up 3:0 through Strong. The Bears were taken by surprise in the 27th minute after a breakaway on the left wing and puck somehow finds its way to Hundertpfund, who burries his second of the night. Medvescak shows signs of life with a few chances following the goal, but Richter calms them down midway through the period, scoring on a rebound. Before the break Fischer was able to score the sixth goal for the visitors. In the third period Milicic received a 2+2 penalty for boarding, which set up a long powerplay for Klagenfurt, who capitalized on the opportunity. After a handful of shots towards the home goalie Fischer finally found the way through to the net and increased the lead for the visitors. That marked the final score and another clear-cut victory for the visitors.

spusu Vienna Capitals have been the chiefs on the ice in the east-derby (46:17-shots). The goalies Lamoureux and Lassilla allowed no goals in period 1. In minute 34, Schneider came close to score the first goal, but he just hit the post with a big shot. The break-through has finally come in minute 36. DeSousa won the puck and potted the 1:0. The game was more even played in period 3. In minute 52, Mullen decided the game with the 2:0 after a nice pass by Nissner. DeSousa has even added the 3:0 into the empty net. On the other side, goalie Lamourex allowed no goal and celebrated a Shut Out. Caps will start as the Leader into the year 2019.

EC Panaceo VSV started better into the game and was finally rewarded with the 1:0 in minute 13: Jerry Pollastrone put in a rebound after a shot from Blaine Down. The Moser Medical Graz99ers did more for the offense now and they were finally rewarded for their effort with a Power Play goal in minute 27: Colton Yellow Horn netted the 1:1 with a wrist-shot. Villach was shocked after Spannring got injured and Weihager took advantage scoring the 2:1. The Eagles took a penalty in period 3 and this was punished by the guests: The Styrians were applying pressure on their opponent and Loney has finally potted the 3:1. On the other side, Schlacher missed a Penalty Shot and so, the 99ers defended their lead until the end. Caito has even netted the 4:1.
Villach welcomed Ken Strong as new Assistant Coach.

Innsbrucks Sharks had some early chances, but, then HCB Südtirol Alperia was the chief on the ice in the Tyrolean Derby in period 1. Deluca gave his team a 1:0-lead with a shot from the slot in the first Power Play of the game (6.). The guests responded in minute 19: Ondrej Sedivy surprised goalie Irving with his shot.The Foxes started strong into period 2. Finally, Matt MacKenzie gave Bozen the lead again: The defenseman scored from the slot. Each team had their chances in period 3. Petan has finally decied the Tyrolean Derby with an empty net goal in minute 60.

EC Red Bull Salzburg was the chief on the ice in Dornbirn in the first minutes. Brant Harris netted the first goal, but it wasn‘t allowed by the refs, because of Kicking. Then, the guests took some penalties and this was quickly punished by the Vorarlberger: Brendan O’Donnell gave his team a 2:0-lead with two Power Play goals within just 128 seconds (9./pp, 11./pp). Salzburg continued applying pressure on their opponent and was finally rewarded with their first goal by John Hughes. Dornbirn missed two Power Play opportunities then and this was punished by the Mozart Citizens. Hughes und Hochkofler turned the game within 185 seconds. But, the Vorarlberger stayed unimpressed and answered with the 3:3 netted by O’Donnell. The forward was free infront of the net, got a perfect pass by Trotter and scored the 3:3. And O’Donnell has also fixed the win for DEC with a solo in minute 49. Salzburg responded with much pressure, but without success.
