The South Tyroleans are 14th in the table and on Thursday will be the first meeting between the two teams in the Alps Hockey League.

The top clash will be played by the fourth-placed Rittner Buam and the third-placed EHC Lustenau. Both teams are separated by only one point in the table. Lustenau could decide four of the past games for themselves. For Ritten it was three of them. Among other things, they were able to defeat Asiago last week with 5:1. However, this was followed by a clear 1:4 defeat at the EC-KAC Future Team. Last season, both teams faced each other in the pre-playoffs. Thereby the EHC kept the upper hand with 2:0 (7:2 & 6:2).

In the first of two games on Friday, the EC Bregenzerwald will face the EC-KAC Future Team. Both teams are on a winning streak. The Vorarlberg team was not to be defeated in the last three games. The Future Team won the last two matches. In the table it comes to the duel fifth against seventh. The two teams have already faced each other once this season. On October 9th , Bregenzerwald celebrated a clear 9:3 away victory.

The stumbling BEMER VEU Feldkirch will host league leader HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice on Friday. The Vorarlberg team is only 16th in the table with just eight points, and the gap to the Slovenians is already 27 points. The VEU could win only one of the last five games. Jesenice won all of the past four games in the Alps Hockey League. However, the first duel of the season between the two teams was a close affair. The Slovenians prevailed with 2:1 after overtime in Jesenice on October 1st. Eric Svetina scored both goals for last season's semifinalists.
