Top class tournament Südtirol Summer Classic is back

After a two-year break, the Südtirol Summer Classic presented by Sparkasse returns this weekend. In addition to host Bolzano, teams from Switzerland, the Czech Republic and Germany will take part in the internationally top-class tournament. In addition, numerous other teams of the win2day ICE Hockey League will play preseason games in the coming days in view of the upcoming season, which will start in about two weeks.

Besides Bolzano, the HC Ambrì Piotta from Switzerland, HC Skoda Plzeň from the Czech Republic and Düsseldorfer EG from Germany will participate in the Südtirol Summer Classic.
The first semifinal between Bolzano and Ambrì will take place tomorrow, Friday, at 20:00. The following day, also at 20:00, Plzeň and Düsseldorf will play, before the third-place match is scheduled for Sunday at 15:00. The final will take place on Sunday at 18:30.

There will also be plenty on offer for fans away from the matches: a FORST beer garden and snack stands will provide refreshments in the Sparkasse Arena parking lot from 15:00 till 18:00 on Friday and Saturday and from 11:00 till 14:00 on Sunday. On Saturday from 17:00 to 18:00, fans will have the opportunity to meet the HCB players in person at an autograph session.


KAC plays in Germany

The EC-KAC left in the direction of Germany on Thursday, following the morning practice, where they will play at the Augsburg Panthers on Friday (19:30), before it comes to the duel with the Heilbronner Falken on Sunday (14:00).

In addition to Bolzano and the KAC, the BEMER Pioneers Vorarlberg and the Moser Medical Graz99ers are also in action on Friday. The Pioneers will face the ECDC Memmingen from the German Oberliga at home, the 99ers are guests of the Slovakian first division team HC Banska Bystrica, who they already lost to once in this year's preseason with 2:3. Already today, Thursday, the Styrians will also play in Slovakia, at the HC Nové Zámky.

Test match for Pustertal against Canadian University
It will be a premiere for the HC Pustertal Wölfe, who will meet Concordia University at home on Saturday and will thus play against a team from the North American U-Sports League for the first time. The university from Montreal is one of the largest universities in Canada with approximately 46,000 students.

The Steinbach Black Wings Linz and the spusu Vienna Capitals will travel to away games on Saturday. The Black Wings will play at the HC Kralovy Vary in the Czech Republic. The Capitals will face the Nürnburg ICE Tigers in Germany. On Sunday it comes to the only ICE internal duel of the coming days. League newcomer Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey will play at the HC TIWAG Innsbruck - Die Haie.
