In the Pick Round, leader HCB Südtirol Alperia hits the road at second-placed EC-KAC, while EC Red Bull Salzburg battle Hydro Fehérvár AV19 in a duel of teams that were winless on Friday.

In the Qualification Round, top duo Dornbirn Bulldogs and iClinic Bratislava Capitals will each look to gain more space in the fight for the remaining playoff tickets with road wins, while HC TIWAG Innsbruck - Die Haie will finally return to the postseason race at home.

  • In the previous four season encounters, the home team always prevailed, winning after regulation time in each case.

Referees: NAGY, RENCZ, Bärnthaler, Zgonc. | >> PPV-LIVESTREAM << | live auf VB 33

  • The top duel of the Pick Round will take place in Klagenfurt: second-placed EC-KAC (6 points) will receive league leader HCB Südtirol Alperia (9 points). With a win after regular playing time, the "Rotjacken" can draw level with the "Foxes".
  • While the KAC recorded its first intermediate round win with a 5:2 in Salzburg on Friday, HCB is still without defeat in the Pick Round.
  • Away, HCB struggled recently, winning only three of its last seven games - none after regulation. The last away win after 60 minutes came on January 12th, when the South Tyroleans won 3:2 in Klagenfurt.
  • That was also the lone home defeat after regulation for the "Rotjacken" in 2021. They always scored in the other eight games, winning seven of them.
  • Both teams picked up two wins each from the first four duels of the season. However, HCB also scored in both defeats.
  • In each of the four season duels so far, only a single goal separated the two teams at the end. Since the "Foxes" entered the league, more than half of the encounters between these two clubs - 28 of 51 - have been one-goal games.
  • The KAC has won 28 of 51 meetings with HCB so far.
  • No personnel changes are expected at the KAC compared to the away game in Salzburg, unchanged David Fischer, Paul Postma, Dennis Sticha and Niki Kraus are not available.
  • Bolzano will have to play without the suspended Anthony Bardaro. Ben Youds is missing due to injury, Karl Stollery is not sure to be in.

Referees: FICHTNER, SMETANA, Pardatscher, Seewald. | >> PPV-LIVESTREAM <<

  • HC TIWAG Innsbruck - Die Haie celebrated a shootout win in Dornbirn on Friday - and took its first win of the Qualification Round. This means that the Tyroleans are currently sixth in the table with four points, and the "Sharks" are three points short of third place - a playoff spot.
  • The EC GRAND Immo VSV has landed Friday with the 4:2 home win against Linz his second intermediate round victory and has moved up in the table to fourth place, there they hold equal points with third Graz at seven points.

  • HCI has yet to concede a shorthanded goal in their three games in the intermediate round so far (6/100%). VSV could double their PP: in the basic round phase one they used only 14.7% to score - currently it is 30%.
  • The HCI forward duo Daniel Ciampini (24G|29A) and Braden Christoffer (18G|25A) still lack four points to reach the 100-point mark together.
