EHC Alge Elastic Lustenau signed young defenseman David Kreuter (lately EC VSV). Plus: EC Bregenzerwald, FBI VEU Feldkirch, EC „Die Adler“ Stadtwerke Kitzbühel and EK Zeller Eisbären with contract extensions.
„Eagles“ trust in Austrias Women National Team goalkeeperin
Theresa Hornich, who is Austrias Women National Team goalkeeperin, will be the number 3 in the net at EC „Die Adler“ Stadtwerke Kitzbühel 2017/18. Last season Hornich played one game for the „Eagles“ in the SKY Alps Hockey League and one match for DEC Salzburg Eagles in the EWHL-Playoffs (Save%: 98,0 and GAA: 1.0). Besides the 26-years old lady will work as a youth coach at the club.
VEU extends four Austrian Forwards
With Martin Mairitsch, Patrick Breuss, Dennis Sticha and Kevin Puschnik much offense stays another season at FBI VEU Feldkirch.
Mairitsch is a leader and one of the key-players of the team, he was 2016/17 with 24 goals the best Austrian Goal Scorer in the SKY Alps Hockey League, besides he made 13 Assists. The 30-years old Power-Forward brings also much experience to the west-club: Before joining the club from Vorarlberg Mairitsch played in his career already 397 Erste Bank Eishockey Liga-games for EC Red Bull Salzburg (Champion 2007, 2008), EHC LIWEST Black Wings Linz (Champion 2012) and Dornbirner EC, in which he scored 97 points.
Also with Kevin Puschnik much offense stays at Feldkirch. The forward scored for his home-club last season 17 goals and 13 Assists from 43 League-games. Although Puschnik is just 25 years old, he brings already much experience to the team: The Austrian spend six years in Austrian highest League (EBEL) with EC Red Bull Salzburg (Champion 2010 and 2011) and the UPC Vienna Capitals and scored there 53 points from 254 games.
Dennis Sticha belongs the future at FBI VEU Feldkirch. The 18-years old Forward scored for the west-club past season four points (2G/2A) from 38 games.
Patrick Breuss played so far always for his home-club FBI VEU Feldkirch, last season the 25-years old forward scored five points from 40 games.
Key-player stays at EC Bregenzerwald
With Marcel Wolf one of the key-players stays at EC Bregenzerwald! The Forward scored for the "Wälder" last season 20 points (8G/12A) from 32 SKY AHL-games. 2016 the 26-years old Austrian won with the west-club already the Inter National League. Before (2008 and 2010) he became with the Dornbirner Eishockey Club twice Champion in Austrias second highest League and 2012 he was even Erste Bank Eishockey Liga-Champion with EHC LIWEST Black Wings Linz.
Fans favourite stays at EK Zeller Eisbären
Fredrik Widén goes into another season with EK Zeller Eisbären. The 24-year-old Swedish defender, who is one of the fans favourite at Pinzgau, gained 14 goals and 20 assists in the last SKY Alps Hockey League campaign, earning second most points of the whole team. It will be his fourth year in Austria after spending two seasons with the Red Bull Hockey Juniors in earlier times.

EHC Alge Elastic Lustenau signed with David Kreuter a young defenseman. The 22-years old Austrian learned to play hockey at EC VSV and played for the „Eagles“ since the 2014/15-season already 128 Erste Bank Eishockey Liga-games, in which he made six points. Last season Kreuter also made one game for EC „Die Adler“ Stadtwerke Kitzbühel in the SKY Alps Hockey League.
