Transfer news from four clubs

Four clubs of the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League announced transfer activities. At the HCB Südtirol Alperia the contract with Mike Halmo was extended. The Moser Medical Graz99ers announced the signing of Mike Zalewski. At the iClinic Bratislava Capitals two new signings were announced. League newcomer HC Pustertal confirmed the signing of Ivan Delucu who last played with last year´s runner-up HCB Südtirol Alperia.


Mike Halmo and HCB Südtirol Alperia are entering their third season together. After winning the title in 2017/18, the forward returned to Bolzano last year.

Bolzano extends with Mike Halmo
The 30-year-old Canadian, native of Waterloo (Ontario), will play his third season in the jersey of the Foxes. In his first season in 2017/18 he was one of the main contributors to win the second Karl Nedwed Trophy of the club. After two seasons in Finland (Ilves) and DEL (Iserlohn), he returned to Bolzano last year, but this time it was not enough for the title in the final against KAC. In the jersey of the Foxes Mike came 122 times into action and scored a total of 90 points (34 goals and 56 assist).

99ers sign Mike Zalewski
The Moser Medical Graz99ers signed with Mike Zalewski another forward. The 28-years-old U.S. American played for the Kölner haie after his engagement with the spusu Vienna Capitals.
Mike Zalewski played a total of six times in the NHL for the Vancouver Canucks (2 assists), but the American mainly got ice time in the AHL. The Graz99ers newcomer played 194 games for the Utica Comets, scoring 25 goals and 42 assists.
Zalewski then moved to Europe and signed a contract with the Straubing Tigers. The 188cm tall and 93kg forward scored 14 goals and made 17 assists for the Tigers, one year later he scored six goals and 15 assists for the Kölner Haie. For this reason, the spusu Vienna Capitals signed Zalewski and brought him to the ICE in the 2019/2020 season. And the center could convince in Vienna, scoring 15 goals and 20 assists. The 28-years-old then received another offer from the Kölner Haie and returned to the DEL (3 goals, 9 assists). Now Mike Zalewski moves to the Graz99ers.

Two new forwards for Bratislava
The iClinic Bratislava Capitals signed Israelian-born David Levin and the Norwegian Thomas Valkvæ Olsen. Levin, who also has a Canadian citizenship, most recently played in the Swedish HockeyAllsvenskan with Kristianstad IK. Valkvæ Olsen played last season for Frisk Asker in Norway. He also played six games for the Norwegian national team at the 2021 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship in Riga, Latvia, scoring two goals.

Ivan Deluca transfers to Bruneck
Italian international Ivan Deluca leaves the HCB Südtirol Alperia and joins league newcomer HC Pustertal. The 23-years-old forward was active for Bolzano for the past three seasons. In 160 games, the left-shooter scored 31 points (13G / 18A).
