Transfer-News of Graz and Innsbruck, KAC sticks to proven coaching staff

The Graz99ers set their next big milestones for the upcoming season. After signing Philipp Lindner and extending the contracts of Matt Garbowsky, Dwight King and Ken Ograjensek, the Styrians announced the transfers of the two Swedish Cracks Sebastian Collberg and Christopher Nihlstorp.

Two Swedes for the Moser Medical Graz 99ers
The Graz 99ers yesterday announced another signing for the upcoming season. Sebastian Collberg, 25-year-old striker, will go for goals for Graz in the next season. Collberg was drafted in 2012 in the second round by the Montreal Canadiens and celebrated the world champion title with the Swedish national team in 2012. In the last three years, the striker played in the Swedish SHL for Rögle and Timra where he was able to score a total of 27 goals and 29 assists in 243 games.
Besides the signing of Collberg, the Styrians also announced the transfer of Christopher Nihlstorp. The 35-year-old goalkeeper won two titles in the Swedish league and won the American Hockey League with the Texas Stars. Furthermore, he was able to play in the National Hockey League for the Dallas Stars. Despite of missing the season 2017/18 because of an injury, Nihlsorp proofed this qualities again past season for Malmö.
 
KAC extends with coaches
The EC-KAC officially announced the contract extensions of assistant coach Jarno Mensonen and goaltending coach Juha Soronen. The Fins are going to continue their engagement on the side of headcoach Petri Matikainen in Klagenfurt.
 
Lattner joins Innsbruck 
The HC Tiroler Wasserkraft Innsbruck signed Defender Jan Lattner from HC Orli Znojmo. The 29-year-old played a total of 417 games in the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga and managed to score a total of 252 points. Lattner, who is known for his offensive style of play, signs for one year.
