On Thursday, the Moser Medical Graz99ers, EC Red Bull Salzburg, HC TIWAG Innsbruck - Die Haie, HC Pustertal and spusu Vienna Capitals each announced roster updates for the 2021/22 bet-at-home ICE Hockey League season.

Graz signs Simon Hjalmarsson | 5 young forwards in 99ers squad
The Moser Medical Graz99ers have signed Simon Hjalmarsson, a decorated forward, for the upcoming season in the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League. The now 32-year-old has won several titles at club level and won the World Championship with the Swedish national team in 2013. In addition, the 99ers squad grows by five young forwards.

The Moser Medical Graz99ers were able to extend the contracts with youngsters Kilian Rappold, Kevin Pesendorfer and Clemens Krainz. In addition, Philipp Maurer (21) and Rupert Fichtinger (19), two more strikers were signed. Maurer played for Kitzbühel in the Alps Hockey League last season, while Rupert Fichtinger was part of the IceHawks' U20 team in the ICEYSL.

The five young cracks are also part of the AHL squad and thus have the opportunity to gain playing practice in the Alps Hockey League and recommend themselves for the ICE.

Next Stjernen forward for Innsbruck

With Daniel Leavens, HC TIWAG Innsbruck - Die Haie has another player from Norwegian club Stjernen Hockey for the 2021/22 season of the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League. After signing Tim McGauley a few days ago, the Tyroleans signed his last year teammate Daniel Leavens on Thursday. The 27-year-old played 24 games in the Norwegian first division, recording 14 goals and 16 assists. Behind McGauley, Leavens was Stjernen's second-leading scorer. Prior to that, he played four seasons in the North American ECHL.

Daniel Glira extends contract with Pustertal
HC Pustertal has extended the cooperation with top performer Daniel Glira for his debut season in the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League. Daniel Glira, who is currently competing in the Top Division World Championship in Riga with the Italian national team, will thus enter his second season with the "Wolves" after returning from Bolzano. The 27-year-old made a total of 236 appearances for the ICE rivals from South Tyrol between 2016 and 2020. The defender scored nine goals and 23 assists. In 2018, he won the title with the "Foxes".

Salzburg brings in Finnish striker
EC Red Bull Salzburg has signed Finnish forward Jan-Mikael Järvinen for the upcoming bet-at-home ICE Hockey League season. Rick Schofield, on the other hand, will leave the club. The 33-year-old Jan-Mikael Järvinen is an experienced forward who played eight years for the Finnish top club Tappara Tampere in the Liiga until 2019. After junior days and three professional games at Ilves, Järvinen joined Tappara via detours in 2011 and became a valuable regular, winning the Finnish championship twice with the club as well as reaching the final four more times.

Rick Schofield no longer on Red Bulls squad
Canadian forward Rick Schofield will no longer be available to Salzburg. The 34-year-old joined the Red Bulls last season and scored 17 goals and 29 assists in 51 games.

Vienna extends with two regular players
Forward Niki Hartl and defenseman Dominic Hackl, two long-time mainstays in the yellow-and-black line-up, will stay in Austria's capital and continue to skate in the spusu Vienna Capitals jersey next season.
