Travis Barron strengthens the Black Wings' offence

The Steinbach Black Wings Linz have filled their last roster spot for the 2025/26 season in the win2day ICE Hockey League with Travis Barron. The 27-year-old Canadian power forward is coming to Europe for the first time. Barron played over 300 games in the AHL, where he impressed with his physical presence and consistent scoring.

At 186 cm and 93 kg, Travis Barron brings a lot of physical assertiveness, which is underlined by 360 penalty minutes in the AHL. He was selected 191st overall by the Colorado Avalanche in the 2016 NHL Draft.

In his four full AHL seasons, he averaged over 20 points per season and was most recently assistant captain with the Tucson Roadrunners. The left-handed shooter also proved his versatility in 75 ECHL games, gaining 21 goals and 30 assists. He won the Kelly Cup with the Colorado Eagles in 2017/18.
