Tray Tuomie took over in Villach in the summer after leading the Rittner Buam SkyAlps to the Alps Hockey League title last season. "I like it very much, Villach is a beautiful city. You can feel the love for ice hockey," said the new head coach.

The Villach team played a strong pre-season, only suffering their first defeat in the final game against Graz. They also suffered a defeat at the start of the regular season when the Eagles lost 3:2 at Olimpija Ljubljana on Friday. "We played a good game in Ljubljana, but gave our opponents too much time and space. We showed that to our players in the video. We have to do a few things better, then we'll be ready tomorrow," explained the 56-year-old ahead of the clash with the spusu Vienna Capitals (Sunday, 7.30 pm live on ORF Sport+). "Vienna will certainly want to exert pressure from the start, but we have our fans behind us. We have to control our emotions, then we'll certainly have a good game."

Chase Pearson could return to the VSV line-up against the Caps. "He will still bring us a lot of energy, I hope he can be there," Tuomie added.
